Saadi

Saadi traveled for decades before returning to Shiraz to write the Golestan and the Bustan — works that fused worldly wisdom, wit, and moral clarity so completely that they shaped how Persians speak to this day. His couplets remain everyday proverbs.

His verse “The children of Adam are limbs of one body” is inscribed at the United Nations — a Persian statement of human dignity offered to the whole world.
