حکایت کنند از بزرگان دین
حقیقت شناسان عین الیقین
که صاحبدلی بر پلنگی نشست
همی راند رهوار و ماری به دست
یکی گفتش: ای مرد راه خدای
بدین ره که رفتی مرا ره نمای
چه کردی که درنده رام تو شد
نگین سعادت به نام تو شد؟
بگفت ار پلنگم زبون است و مار
وگر پیل و کرکس، شگفتی مدار
تو هم گردن از حکم داور مپیچ
که گردن نپیچد ز حکم تو هیچ
چو حاکم به فرمان داور بود
خدایش نگهبان و یاور بود
محال است چون دوست دارد تو را
که در دست دشمن گذارد تو را
ره این است، روی از طریقت متاب
بنه گام و کامی که داری بیاب
نصیحت کسی سودمند آیدش
که گفتار سعدی پسند آیدش
