What this poem says

These verses speak of the ruin and decline of power. Jamshid's palace, once a symbol of grandeur and splendor, has now become a haunt for the gazelle and the fox. They also portray the fate of Bahram, who spent his whole life hunting the wild ass (gur) — yet in the end was overtaken by the grave (gur) himself: while out hunting, he fell into a marsh and vanished. All this points to the instability and the ups and downs of life.
