25 Shahrivar 2588 in the Shahanshahi calendar falls on Saturday — equivalent to 25 Shahrivar 1408 Shamsi and 15 September 2029 Gregorian.
Mahsa (Zhina) Amini was a 22-year-old Kurdish woman who died on September 13, 2022 after being arrested by the morality police for "improper hijab." Her death sparked the largest protest movement in the Islamic Republic's history with the slogan "Woman, Life, Freedom."
Today is 25 Shahrivar in the Shahanshahi calendar — one day in thousands of years of unbroken Persian culture.
