20 Aban 2578 Shahanshahi — equivalent to 20 Aban 1398 Shamsi and 2019-11-11 Gregorian. Yalda Aghafazli Memorial Day is observed on this day. Today's occasion, a cultural insight, and a classical Persian verse.
20 Aban 2578 in the Shahanshahi calendar falls on Monday — equivalent to 20 Aban 1398 Shamsi and 11 November 2019 Gregorian.
Yalda Aghafazli was a 19-year-old artist and protester who died on November 11, 2022 under suspicious circumstances two days after her release from prison. She was arrested on October 26 at protests in Tehran and held 15 days in Evin and Qarchak prisons. The regime claimed suicide but friends say she never used drugs and would never kill herself.
Today is 20 Aban in the Shahanshahi calendar — one day in thousands of years of unbroken Persian culture.
