20 Mehr 2578 Shahanshahi — equivalent to 20 Mehr 1398 Shamsi and 2019-10-12 Gregorian. 2,500-Year Celebration Anniversary is observed on this day. Today's occasion, a cultural insight, and a classical Persian verse.
20 Mehr 2578 in the Shahanshahi calendar falls on Saturday — equivalent to 20 Mehr 1398 Shamsi and 12 October 2019 Gregorian.
From 12 to 16 October 1971, the 2,500-year celebration of the founding of the Persian Empire was held at Pasargadae and Persepolis, where Mohammad Reza Shah declared before the tomb of Cyrus: "Cyrus, sleep in peace, for we are awake."
Today is 20 Mehr in the Shahanshahi calendar — one day in thousands of years of unbroken Persian culture.
