17 Dey 2576 Shahanshahi — equivalent to 17 Dey 1396 Shamsi and 2018-01-07 Gregorian. Women's Emancipation Day is observed on this day. Today's occasion, a cultural insight, and a classical Persian verse.
17 Dey 2576 in the Shahanshahi calendar falls on Sunday — equivalent to 17 Dey 1396 Shamsi and 7 January 2018 Gregorian.
On 8 January 1936, Reza Shah the Great took the historic step of women's emancipation — a path that led to suffrage, university education, and women in public life during the Pahlavi era. The Woman, Life, Freedom movement continues that path.
Today is 17 Dey in the Shahanshahi calendar — one day in thousands of years of unbroken Persian culture.
